A native of Washington State, Laura Cantwell graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Music Theater from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.  Since beginning her career at Westminster, Laura has performed roles in musicals such as The Music Man, Smile, Is there Life After High School?, Putting it Together, And the World Goes Round, and others. She has also sung with the Westminster Symphonic Choir under such conductors as Charles Dutoit, Joseph Flummerfelt, and Lorin Maazel. After graduation in 2007, Laura had many an opportunity to broaden her horizons and pursue television and movie acting.  She became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) within a year of her first television experience as a victim on Law and Order: SVU.  Laura has been seen in episodes of Gossip Girl, Life on Mars, Law and Order, Law and Order:  Criminal Intent, and Kings to name a few.  This television season, she can be seen as “The Barista”  during the first season of the new ABC series Cupid.  She has also worked on the set of Confessions of a Shopaholic as well as others that have not yet been released. Outside of acting professionally, Laura models and teaches music theater acting and singing for various summer programs. At home, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, choral director, Ryan Guth, and their mutt, Sasha.
