Joan Aniano, Musical Theater Dance

Joan Aniano is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theatre. Since childhood, Joan has had a passion for all things musical theatre, drama club, singing, dancing and teaching. Previous roles include Marian Paroo (The Music Man), KC Downing (My Favorite Year), Vi Moore (Footloose), Kim MacAfee (Bye, Bye Birdie) and many others. Joan has been seen in various theaters in the NY/NJ area, some of which include Edison’s Plays in the Park, and Red Bank’s Count Basie Theatre. Aside from performing, Joan has directed and choreographed three years of musicals at Mill Road Day Camp, and taught all levels of dance at Dance on Q Performing Arts Center in South Brunswick, NJ and Arts YOUniversity in Hamilton, NJ. She has also been the choreographer for Bridgewater Raritan High School (Anything Goes and Thoroughly Modern Millie), Immaculata High School (Beauty and the Beast), West Windsor Plainsboro High School South (Gypsy) and Westminster Choir College (Once Upon a Mattress). In the fall, Joan will continue her studies at Emerson College in Boston, pursuing her Masters degree in Theatre Education.
